Iya Ope’s Place…. (IOP)

Too much sugar lately I need something bitter
So I head out to my favourite spot in the area
Herbs and liquor, excuse a drunk it’s elixir
A shot or two might cure my pile or extend my life
Slowly ushered into my strokes of addiction

I still love IOP cos it’s at a spot of three junctions
The honk of bikes, cars and noise of passersby
Oh nothing beats the scene, except for paradise
So much to watch, a study of nothing alas
For I end up spending, until I am left with nothing

Beside IOP is Mama P, a life saver

The smell of her afang, served with a hot semovita
A brunch I don’t miss, with periwinkles my love
Food was my other addiction, weed then sleep
My efficacy to an industrious venture
You can’t tell me nothing even under pressure

I want more but I am okay with less
I love more that won’t infringe on my rest testimonials of how they love my morals

Givers never lack for I am blessed to my pockets
For these gatherings want no lessons they only want the blessings the day brings

A study between worlds
A notice to spoken words
Sometimes I laugh to dead jokes
For I don’t want to breath out a cold breath
So many drinks to death, fellowships at the bar

Becoming felonies at my side
I see a lot at IOP, most of which my words can’t paint
I will warn all mother look after their wards
No market is safe, scavengers everywhere

Buy and go
Mind your own.
