The Love Paradox

What teaches us to love?

It’s so hard to give yourself away
if I can do it for myself
why not you?
hating you will only make me hate me

What teaches us to give?
is it the understanding of lack
or the joy that we once received
perhaps the never ending bliss in sharing

There are no rules in the presence of Love
with -in the Love there laid laws
The fear of abuse
we seek caution with guidance

Dying for what we believe in
or we don’t believe at all
pain, hurt, sadness, despair and betrayal
brothers or just cousins to Love

What’s an open heart?
Is it a free dome to all
with our nephesh crying and hoping
scared weary with guilt for turning deaf

Truth is, for nothing we own
all blessings were a given gift
from our creator we spend inly spread
even your breath doesn’t belong to you

As lessons of love with be learnt
let pain teach you, let hate mentor you
let selfishness preach to you, let greed be your Abbott
then truly you will know the value of what love teaches

These thoughts are my perceptions and thoughts about love they are not meant to stir up anything but even a grateful heart gets saddened. Is it just life, or the sense of ownership beneath the grounds of my heart. Alas, i am just human.
